Boggs Mountain Humane Shelter Investigation Rabun County GA-Killing Dogs!!!

http://www.myfoxatlanta.com/story/19059474/investigation-exposes

Investigation exposes humane society 'Lucky Dog' program - Atlanta News- FOX 5
Fox 5 Atlanta I-Team Randy Travis exposed this--Thank him!

This was claimed to be a no-kill shelter.  What these employees have been doing is disgusting and
possibly illegal-- if so, they should be prosecuted!  Taking $100.00  from a donor  to save a "Lucky Dog" and then euthenizing these dogs and telling the donors that the dog had been adopted or sent to another shelter!!  Watch the Fox 5 Video.  The Rabun County Sheriff and the District Attorney should review  Georgia Code 16-8-3, "Theft by Deception" and, if applicable to the circumstances, prosecute the offenders.

  1. This is the worst thing I have heard of in a long time. I hope they are prosecuted. How could someone who professes to love horses, dogs and cats become so cruel

  2. I hope everyone learns a lesson on who to trust. Can't go by how someone looks. The director should be immediately fired, and taken to the police station for questioning. The secretary who kept her mouth shut for two years should get her job back, since she can testify against this woman. Her conscience will be her punishment. It brings back horrific memories of that Georgia cremation place, where the owners just dumped the bodies out back in piles without cremating them, no caskets, no identification. That family never was really punished severely since there were no strict laws that were in place regarding such a crime. I hope everyone who was in on the dog killing and stealing money from kind folks, get what they deserve.

  4. I donated 200 dollars to try to save 2 dogs. they sent me pictures of the 2 dogs looking like they were going to new homes. I guess they never reach those homes, huh? lying and deceitful bastards. they ought to euthanize the people who are responsible there.

  5. This is really upsetting. Giving up an animal can be an agonizing decision, and putting it in a "no kill" shelter can be a viable alternative. To lie to these people about being a no kill shelter AND taking there money to assure the animal won't be killed is beyond belief. Those responsible need to be prosecuted.
